The Joy of writing my first novel!

I love writing! I always have. I wrote my first novel “Dr. Peabody and The Mystery of the Lost Ghost” when I was 10 years old. My cousin, Ann Bagarry, drew the pictures with colored pencils and I typed out every single word on an old Smith Corona typewriter I found in our attic. The book was 99 pages long! I so wanted to make it 100, but I just couldn’t think of another scene that could stretch the story another 200 words. Darn it anyway! But I got the book done, made all my corrections in pencil, and sent it off to Simon & Schuster book publishers in New York City for publication. What happened next actually changed my life.
